UK Master Fitter Competition 2012

The UK Master Fitter competition has been designed to find the UK's best Automotive Glazing Technician. The competition is free to enter.
There are 7 regional heats taking place between May and mid July 2012. The 6 highest scoring technicians from each of the regional events will compete in the UK final of the Master Fitter competition which will be held in the Autumn. The winner will then be announced and celebrated at the Proskills Awards 2012. All 6 UK finalists will receive a monetary prize and a trophy
Entrants should have a thorough understanding of different car designs and glazing methods and be up-to-date with the development of new processes and materials.
They will demonstrate their knowledge and skills in live competition, as they complete a series of practical tests including:
- removal and replacement of a rear windscreen
- repair and replacement of a front windscreen
- replacing body glass
